What are the daily activity periods (resumption and closing time)?

Our centre follows a structured daily routine that supports learning, play, rest, and social development.

  • Opening Time: 7:00 AM

  • Class/Activity Start: 8:30 AM

  • Morning Learning & Play: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM

  • Nap/Quiet Time: 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM

  • Afternoon Activities: 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM

  • Closing Time: 6:00 PM

Schedules may vary slightly by age group.

What are the meal times?

We provide balanced, nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day.

  • Breakfast: 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM

  • Morning Snack: 10:00 AM

  • Lunch: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

  • Afternoon Snack: 3:00 PM

We accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions with advance notice.

When do children have holidays?

The centre is closed on the following statutory holidays:

  • New Year's Day

  • Family Day

  • Good Friday

  • Victoria Day

  • Canada Day

  • Civic Holiday

  • Labour Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Day & Boxing Day

Additional closures include:

  • Winter Break: December 24 - January 2

  • Professional Development Days: Two days per year (announced in advance)

Do you offer potty training?

Yes. We support potty training for children who are developmentally ready.
Our approach includes:

  • Working closely with parents for consistency

  • Encouraging independence and confidence

  • Maintaining hygiene and safety

  • Providing regular updates on progress

Parents will be informed when their child shows readiness signs.

What is the teacher-to-child ratio?

We follow regulated ratios to ensure safety and quality care:

  • Toddlers: 1:5

  • Preschoolers: 1:8

What safety and security measures are in place?

Your child's safety is our top priority. Our centre uses:

What should my child bring each day?

We recommend sending:

Do children go outside?

Yes. Outdoor play is scheduled twice daily, weather permitting, to support physical development and fresh-air time.

Yes. We work with families to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions. Parents must provide updated medical information and any required action plans.

What is your sick-child policy?

Children must stay home if they have:

  • Fever

  • Vomiting or diarrhea

  • Contagious illness

  • Any symptoms that prevent participation in daily activities

Parents will be contacted if a child becomes ill during the day.
